Dear Ted

Dedicated to my one and only older brother, this piece captures the essence of his youth, adolescence, and adulthood. The vibrant yellow against his curiously playful pose reflects the innocence of his childhood that has been carried away by his teenage years. Here, his search for self-identity while grappling with complex emotions and passions resonates deeply with where I currently am. Yet to the mature, stoic person his life vigorously molded him to be today, I am proud to call my brother the man I associate with a blue gingerly mixed with fragility, reliability, and encouragement. This piece is a letter filled with my unspoken words testifying to his resilience and strength. To Ted, whom I love very much, I am always inspired by your growth and strength.

To me, creativity is the region beyond the expected and ordinary. It is expressing the essence of one’s self through ideas, demonstrations, and more. Creativity is something that everyone has that cannot be taken away; it is a critical factor of who we are and claim to be.
