Chinatown

Lynna X.

Oil Painting

  • In this piece, my sister and I are in Chinatown, enjoying tanghulu together. As we savor the sweet treat, I notice the joy in our expressions and the lively energy of the street around us. The tanghulu, with its glossy, sugary coating, represents more than just a snack—it’s a sweet memory we’re creating together. Through this painting, I hope to capture the beauty of these simple, yet meaningful moments that stay with us forever.

  • I think creativity is about seeing things in a fresh, new, and personal way. It’s also about being open to unique possibilities and experimenting with different thoughts, materials, or actions. Creativity gives us the opportunity to express new ideas, explore our surroundings, and think outside the box.
