I made this piece in honor of my late grandmother in law. I was inspired to draw the way a funeral felt through the process of ant graveyards. I used vivid colors to convey how intense everyone’s emotions were at her funeral, while also giving ants emotions they could process if they had the same cognitive ability to feel. Making this piece helped me cope with the idea that everyone dies, and I hope it brings insight to whoever might see it.
