This is my college application film that follows that Chapman University prompt; In 2 minutes or less and without dialogue, create a story about a character making a tough decision. My movie shows a character offered a brand new, and majorly improved life through a creepy television advertisement.
Luminous Orchestra: Illuminating the Infinite Spectrum
I want my art to invite viewers into a mesmerizing journey filled with vibrant hues & dynamic compositions. This piece is a testament that beyond our perception there is an entire orchestra, a symphony of colors that we need to just adjust our view in order to see. I aim to ignite that sense of wonder within us that encourages us to dive deeper in the depths of the human experience and into the intricate light that connects emotionally and spiritually. Light represents our hope & wanting to search for our inner truth, the thing that sparks a light within each and everyone of us. Together as youth of the bay area we can use our light fueled passion to guide us through darkness, in hand illuminating our path to a brighter future filled with discovery!
The Beauty of Nature
I’m just an average person that enjoys capturing small moments of life and the unoticed elegance of nature I feel should be appreciated. I find happiness in being able to make someone smile or exclaim through a small piece photography.
From Up Above
This picture was taken from the this tallest building in the world, the Skytree in Tokyo, Japan. The cities of Japan from up above are amazing, you can really see every detail of every building from top to bottom. It is so intensely packed where you can't see any streets.
Fiery Sky Over the Ocean
Creating photos is something I love. Making pictures is a great way to relax, cool down, and enjoy spending time outside, whether it be with friends or alone. I made this piece while camping with friends after school. It was a really fun experience, and right before we started a fire I made this picture, and I thnk it turned out really well. I want to keep enjoying myself making work, and keep spending time outside with friends.
The Blue Doors
While wondering around San Rafael I came across a church called Trinity Church. The entrance of look very looked eye appealing as its doors were a bright blue. Also, there were lights above the doors which put a huge emphasis on the bright blue doors. With this in mind, I captured a photo of the fantastic front entrance at Trinity Church.
Grandpa with Pontiac
During our unit of portraiture my family visited my grandparents and I thought my grandpa would make for a good subject. I decided to put my grandpa next to his old car striking an interesting pose to convey his confident nature that he goes about life with. During post processing I changed the image to black and white to make a more timeless image, which helped convey the idea of confidence of my grandfather.
Golden Gate Silhouette
In my photography class we had an assignment to work on silhouettes and shadows. This was mostly just to learn about the basics of these concepts and to teach us what happens when you underexpose a photo. My friend and I decided to go to the golden gate bridge to take ours and I didn't think much of the images after we had finished shooting. It wasn't until I started editing that this work really appealed to me. I like the huge contrast between the sky and the bridge, and how the bridge is like gigantic superstructure in the foreground. I like this work so muhc because I had never done silhouette photography before and it gave me a really interesting insight to a whole new area of interest.
Vines of Hope
‘Vines of Hope’ is a musical journey to find fresh water in the jungle for a village hit by a season of drought. The water represents a beacon of hope for life, propelling us towards it. Along the way, we get lost and come to a dead end that seems impassable.
Exalting the Ordinary
I was in SF on a very windy day, showing off the city I have been living on for the past 7 years to my family members who had just arrived from Brazil. I saw how beautiful this city is and I wanted to exalt its beauty.
heaven and hell
when I'm driving down the freeway at night I think about how it looks like one side of the cars look like angels because of their white lights, and the other side looks like devils with their red lights, so I wanted to capture this on camera.
Isolated Islet
This photograph was taken on the Philippines' Calatagan Beach. This photo features a solitary island with a lone tree and sunset skies in the background.
Photo
My models was Abesolom When I was editing, I felt surprised and proud of myself. What I like about this portrait is that I am creative when I edit a photo. What I like about this portrait is I am creative when I edit a photo. As the photographer, something I did well was I took a professional photo and created a focus and made a good rule of third. When I look at this portrait I feel happy because I did an edit photo of a contract and saturation. To edit this portrait I made a brightness and contrast. Then I did an edit of hue and saturation. Next I made a color and paint in portrait and I exported when I was done. I practiced how to be patient when I edit a photo and to be successful when I edit it. While working on this project I learned how to edit professional photos and to focus when I edit them.
Screaming Magic
I was challenged to make a creative fast shutter speed photo. I had some cards, a scream mask, a top hat, some christmas lights, and my dad. And this is what I came up with. At first I thought it was going to turn out blurry and dark, but after trial and error and lamp after lamp to brighten it up, I was happy with the results.
