• Artist Statement

  My still life composition shows a man sitting atop a large stone throne. He is surrounded by various things, a chalice, coffee cup, and ghost bottle. This drawing took multiple days and many hours to complete but learning how to use charcoal throughout this process was really fun. I especially loved capturing the texture of the stick and stone in this drawing and made effective use of contrast throughout.

  It means freedom of expression is one of the most beautiful aspects of human existence and highlights uniqueness as well as individuality.
