• Artist Statement

  The girl I drew was Kate Moss, and she represents glamour and impulsivity. A quote of hers that I like is "My mum used to say to me, you can't have fun all the time,' and I used to say, 'why not?'. Why... can't I have fun all the time". In her picture she looks tired and worn down and very beautiful. I used building reference photos, and tried to abstract it and add personality to the buildings.

  To me, It's about bringing to life something unspoken or unshown that lives in the back of my head.
