• Artist Statement

  My art piece entitled ‘Rock On!’ is a routine formulated from inspiration of many other artists in the dance industry and my future goals. This piece was my first time dancing, performing, and choreographing in heels which presented quite the challenge of my artistic vision. The process was heavily trial and error, as my previous pieces I had choreographed didn’t focus on shifting my weight and extending my lines as much as Rock On! does in heels. I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to have performed and competed this routine at many local dance competitions, while receive judges feedback from each one to plan a new attack for my next time taking the stage.

• Creative Statement

  Creativity means freedom of expression and inventing new ways to approach or interpret something. My inspiration for my creative piece was how I can bring together my artistic vision along with my prior knowledge and meet my end goal.
