Dear music enthusiast, I hope you enjoyed my marimba concerto as much as I did. In the aftermath of the pandemic, we all carry the stress and uncertainty resulting from the COVID-19 effect. During my marimba performances, I experienced a unique connection. This marimba, crafted by Ney Rosauro, holds a special place in my heart. It embodies themes of welcoming and sharing, reflecting our shared experience as survivors of the disease and our collective losses. When I played it, I couldn't help but think of the sacrifices made by countless individuals to improve my life and how I could bring happiness to others. I began performing at the weekly Friday fundraising concerts organized by my community group, UchannelTV chamber music. When I play, I convey joy through my smiles, and I can sense the audience relaxing, tapping their feet, moving to the rhythm, and returning my smiles. We managed to raise $10,500 after 50 concerts, which we promptly donated to support animal shelters, children in Africa, and Oceana. As someone with ADHD borderline traits, marimba and percussion provide me with a sense of freedom and comfort. They serve as mediums through which I can share my love and care with people in our community. The saying "it takes a village to raise a child" holds true for me, and I am a fortunate individual who wishes to express my gratitude by giving back.

Creativity is a universal birthright often overshadowed by rules, race, and gender. My goal is to unleash this creativity through performance, liberating the inner child in everyone. I want to believe that tomorrow brings hope, and love can conquer all challenges.
