Four Personalities: Red

The piece is called "Red" from "Four Personalities" composed by Alyssa Morris, an oboist. This movement is an accompaniment with an oboe and a piano. The piece begins with an unsettling beginning that climaxes into a "rage" in the end. Unlike other compositions, “Red” was composed based on personalities. Just like how the other movements, "White," "Yellow," and "Blue" are named for their unique, representative style of music, "Red" depicts a fiery, passionate personality through brisk melodies and aggressive phrasing. With the energy associated with it, I found the movements are more profound and alluring compared to other pieces.

Creativity means exploring the unknown territory of art. In other words, it demonstrates that one should invent something new, attractive, and unusual. It also means generating new ideas and exploring new paths that others didn’t pursue.
