Forest Fire

Jared H.

Adobe Photoshop

  • My artwork is my rendition of a forest fire, and in the sky, a smoke cloud in the shape of a broken power pole to highlight the danger of broken power lines and how they start wildfires. My artwork was entirely composed out of my drawings and filters, without any images. I drew the hills with the pen tool then drew the miniscule blades of grass in the distance and in the foreground, then drew the trees with the brush tool. The smoke was added via brush tool too. The fire in my image was created using the pen tool and multiple filters on photoshop. My idea was to create an image highlighting how scary forest fires can look and I wanted to make it look realistic, which is how I made this forest fire taking place in the night-time with the fires blazing through the forests to create smoke which creates the shape of a broken utility pole to show how dangerous broken utility poles are and how they contribute to millions of acres burned in the forests of California.

  • Creativity to me means being able to articulate your ideas in your mind through a medium, to create. Creativity for me is very essential because it has shaped myself, through creativity and being able to share how I am feeling and what I am thinking to the outside world.
