This film is about a ballet dancer losing one of the most important things in her life, one of her legs, and the chain of events that leads up to that tragic situation. Though she has been through a horrible accident, support from her mother helps her keep determination to try and get better. The idea came to me when I asked myself what I would do without my dominant hand. Would I persevere and go through trials and tribulations to keep making art and doing what I loved? or would I give up? How much could my life change in such a short amount of time, after 1 mistake or choice. In this short film I aim to explore that question through dance, music, and animation. I made all of the music in BandLab with my flute [other than the non copyrighted orchestral track], and I animated it all in Flipaclip. Over the course of 5 months, I gained experience in sound design, storyboarding, organization, and animation. This was a challenging project to tackle on my own, but I am happy I pulled through and can now share my vision with others!

Creativity may just be one of the most important things in my life. Art will always let me escape from the world I live in and into a more colorful and imaginative place. It does not only provide escapism, but happiness, as I continue to improve and enjoy making art.
