• Artist Statement

  This piece is a diptych meant to highlight femininity and the pressure media and social constructs have put on women, in the past and present. I experimented with different pastels and compositions of the cut magazine pieces/stamps before deciding on the final product.

• Creative Statement

  My art helps me express femineity and touch on subtle subjects such as objectification. It gives me a fresh outlook on life and growing up a girl. Also through mixed media and experimentation, I've learned how to become much more flexible in my art through trial and error.
