• Artist Statement

  My piece is a mixed media sculpture of a woman’s body with red flowers coming out of the chest/abdomen. I had used an armature in order to create the initial form and then cut it out in order to pick it back together and add on the rest of the form. I then cut out the middle chest piece once it was dry. I had spray painted it with a clear coat to keep the texture and added the flowers.

  Art gives me a way to bring ideas that I keep in my head to fruition and allows for me to appreciate my own abilities.
