This artwork was my first attempt at multimedia art with photography. I wanted to represent myself in this project and wanted to do it genuinely. While brainstorming for this shoot, I was also in the middle of dealing with some personal things, and I incorporated the emotions I was experiencing into this shot. I felt very vulnerable, in my head, and I didn't want to fake confidence or happiness while working on this photo, both while taking the shot and while incorporating my drawing into it.

Exploring my creativity has allowed me to learn to love myself in photography. I found it difficult to embrace myself in photos others take of me, so I began to take self-portraits and experiment with multimedia techniques, lighting, and the influence settings have on subjects.
