I wrote this story in a frenzied rush, inspired by themes of government corruption and colonialism disguised as exploration. However, the original draft was muddled and unfocused. After a read-through, I knew I needed to change it up. So, when I glimpsed a white rock on the floor, I imagined a futuristic ship, pale and technologically advanced. This brief flash of inspiration brought the setting to the future and developed the main characters. There's always a catalyst for your imagination out there somewhere!

Without creative exploration and expression, my life grows stagnant, staying in one shade of gray. The moment I begin to use my creativity again, the gray becomes fluid, mixing and swirling into a rainbow. It imbues my life with fun, inspiring me to always keep imagining.
