Uno and Strike

My first ever pets were goldfish. Uno and Strike were the names of two of my goldfish that I'd had for about 5 years. So when they died, I was really sad, and I wanted to give them a proper burial. I buried each of them in two flowerpots I found in my backyard. Uno was tinier than Strike, so I picked the small pot for him and then a larger pot for Strike. But I wanted the pots to portray how beautiful the two fish were, so I decided to paint a picture of them on their pots. Over the many years I'd had them, I took many of pictures of them, and I took those as my reference and started to paint. It took five months for me to finish, but I was very satisfied with the results. I still miss Uno and Strike very much, but looking at their pictures on the pots always makes me smile, because I know that they are not gone for good and that they will always be right in my backyard whenever I want to see them.

Expressing my creativity makes my inner feelings visible through my art. Sometimes, this helps people understand me better. Also, most times when I try to be creative and make something, it ends up being beautiful. So when other people compliment my work, it makes me feel really good about myself.
