Trapped

Sophia S.

  • This was taken for a digital media class at my school. Although not the case for everyone, I have observed a lot of my friends and classmates feel trapped in their day to day lives, whether it be external forces like family and friends they struggle with, or the seemingly cold and rigorous nature of attending high school. The fence in this way is a metaphorical boundary that many teenagers face and struggle with. I used natural shadows and lowered the saturation level to create this photo.

  • Exploring interesting places based on how I can capture them with a camera has prompted me to meet new people, go to new places, and not be afraid of the unknown. Through the time I spend online in this technological world, pictures I see and post continue to shape and inspire my creative self.
