• Artist Statement

  This man's red coat initially prompted me to take this photo, and it contrasts the colors in the grass and the bay. I liked the leading lines and the clouds in this photo, and I wondered what it would look like as a double exposure. I started learning more about editing this year and started with more natural and basic edits on my photos. This was a more drastic edit than I had ever done before, and I like how it makes a simple photo more interesting. I think this photo represents a person's exploration of reality verse curiosity.

• Creative Statement

  Photography gives me a break from the stressful parts of my life and a way to express myself creatively. In the digital world that we live in, I loved that photography takes me into nature and gives me a way to explore the world through a different perspective.
