This artwork is an abstract piece that is meant to show a straight-A student's life with high-contrast colors. I used a variety of brush strokes to show intensity, it is also balanced from top to bottom to show wins and losses. The wave accented with white is meant to show movement. The base of this painting is yellow symbolizing the light coming through any moment no matter how intense the moment is. This painting was done in 6 layers, I challenged myself by giving time limits for each layer, and I also listen to the same song throughout the process Straight A's by Connor Price which inspired me very much. The artwork is done in acrylic paint on canvas, acrylic paint was the ideal medium for this work because it dried quickly and allowed me to go back in adding more layers.
