• Artist Statement

  Redwood trees are of natural beauty. A redwood trees' roots only reach down 6-12 feet, but yet its branches reach for the sky. When taking this photo, I wanted to make sure that it was unique. Normally when people take pictures of trees from the bottom up, they position the camera to see straight up the tree. When I took my photo, I made sure to capture all of the aspects of the tree.

• Creative Statement

  Exploring and expressing creativity allows me to have a more positive, open mindset. Photography lets me express myself without any words. Creativity has granted me the ability to view and solve problems with innovation, and new ideas.
