• Artist Statement

  The large amount of recent rain fall in the Bay Area has created new unexpected environments. I set out to capture these changed locations. With this image I was able to capture a flooded parking lot. The vibrant colors that I used help highlight the strangeness of the situation that the rain has caused in many places, and how through the that strangeness, life must continue as normal.

• Creative Statement

  Taking photos allows me to express my creativity. When I take a photo, I paint a picture of my surroundings, temporarily transporting my audience to a world that differs from their own. Through my photos, I share stories of our world that could be lost forever if I chose not to tell them.
