• Artist Statement

  When I was on the highway I saw a similar scenery and I liked the contrast of the yellow sunlight against the dark blue clouds. I wanted to recreate it with it shining on a subject. I block in the background and then started working on my subject, after flat colors I used a semi realistic shading style to render to my liking. I messed around with the layer effects a lot and used the add effect to give the character a ring lit glow. After some more rendering and tweaking I was done.
