This painting is titled "Left Behind", and it was painted with acrylic paint. This artwork depicts a scene of a young woman on a subway train, as she watches the train doors close. A little girl stands outside the door, gazing in at the woman who is abandoning her. This painting is intended to evoke feelings of nostalgia and loss, as the woman seemingly leaves behind her younger self, represented by the little girl. This artwork is a depiction of my guilt of growing up, and the feeling of sadness for leaving the innocence of my childhood. The artwork may be interpreted as a commentary on the process of growing up and the sense of guilt that one may feel when transitioning into adulthood and leaving their childhood behind.
