Laika the Cosmonaut

My artwork depicts the first dog in space, Laika, who tragically passed away in space. My artistic process was used with a mix of charcoal pencils, graphite, and an eraser. I used blending stumps to try and create a smooth effect on the fabric and a dirty look.

Using words can be difficult for me to express myself so by using art, I can destress. Art has been a huge part of my life ever since a young age and the joy I find in it is why I chose to pursue art.
