Into The Unknown

Rhetta L.

  • With this photo I'm trying to convey that being a teenager is a huge transition. As a kid, you are given so much structure to guide you but as a teenager it's all about finding your own path. You spend your whole childhood underneath the monkey bars but when you break the rules and climb up on top, you realize that you now have a whole new perspective on the world. This photo, also symbolizes looking through a window into your past and seeing yourself playing on the nostalgic playground with calluses on your hands and seeing how far and high you've climbed.

  • I feel like I can connect with my friends and family more through photography because my family is all very artistic but the only form of art I really enjoy is photography so it lets me express myself to them in a different way.
