The artwork shows two friends hanging out as they dig through and share their favorite comics and music. Many old cartoons from the 90s and 2000s were a huge inspiration to the overall art style of the drawing, such as the character design and bright colors. I wanted the piece to look like an actual children’s cartoon and was going for a casual slice-of-life feeling to set the tone of the scene.

There’s a sense of freedom and hope I get from illustrating my characters and ideas onto a canvas. I get to express my creative ideas all by myself in the way I envision them. Along with the hope of getting to show the world my great ideas one day is what fuels me to continue my journey in art.
