All teenagers struggle with acne. I make a habit of doing a new self portrait every year or so both for fun and to see how I’ve grown. This year I wanted to highlight something a part of my appearance I am constantly aware of, and that I interact with every day.

I have a bustling, busy mind with an infinite output of ideas varying in subject matter and scale and feeling without limit. If I can latch on to just a few of those ideas, art becomes a conduit for sharing them with the world. Art is my form of communication.
