My artwork was inspired by a prompt provided to me by my teacher, "ocean life". I created this work using different water color techniques and ink. I start all my art with a rough sketch to get the general layout planned out so I have a clear idea of progressing through adding detail. For this piece I took a long time planning out the main focus, the eagle ray, and once that was completed I improvised the rest of the surrounding as I went along.

Being creative gives me an output for the things I'm going through and the peace that comes with creating allows me to take a step away from things and reflect and be in the moment.
