I was inspired by my time going to therapy and not remembering anything specifically impactful in my childhood I needed to resolve. I was also inspired by my general annoyance with children, but also the fact that I don’t think I’ve changed my thought process much since I was a child. For example, I would definitely draw with those chalky rocks today if I was bored, except this situation would never happen to me now, because I’m old enough to ask for a ride.

I try to write and create art solely for myself without seeking the validation of my peers. Art is art, and I have the ability to create it. I’ve found that the process of creating is so much more rewarding than anyone’s validation but my own. I love that.
