My art piece is about environmental awareness, I had to first roll out a big slab and cut it into a big square, when I rolled out six long rectangular slabs and attached it to the big square like a back to hang it on the wall. Then I rolled out more slabs but on piece that looks like a tree, with cutting other ones that look like tree branches. Then for the leaves I would pinch off pieces of clay to gently push down on the tree branches and then let it dry out a little bit and then go over the leaves with a paint brush to smooth it out a little bit.

It impacts my life by keeping me calm, when I focus on drawing, painting, or building a piece in ceramic, I focus on something other than what I'm going through. I'm the type to sit in my feelings, but if I pick up brush or a piece of clay, my mind drifts of to another state of mind.
