This tri-pic is a small part of an ongoing series I have on my Instagram. The series is focused on fashion and features different styles in sets of 6 images. Another main focus of this series is to highlight and show a diverse range of facial features, races, ethnicities, and genders wearing these clothes, to show that anybody can wear anything! I was inspired to do this because scrolling through Instagram or Pinterest, I often see the same bodies and faces modeling clothes over and over again, and that there is a lack of diversity in fashion. To me, the face and body is a work of art, like the way someone’s nose is shaped, their lips, or their hands. I wanted to take a different angle with fashion art, and make it for everyone. I try to take inspiration from features and things I see on everyday people, but all of my characters or “models” are made up and I draw them from my imagination. I also started this series to work on perspective and develop my overall style. I make my art on Procreate usually, but I also do a lot of traditional artwork using ink in my sketchbook. You can find my work @mariellacgutierrez on Instagram.

I love drawing and art, it's basically all I do. I love drawing and animating, and i hope to someday be a story boarder for an animation company. My biggest inspirations are animators and artists like big Disney animators James Baxter and Aaron Blaise, and illustrators like loisvb and Ethan Becker.
