I drew this art piece while thinking about how much I’ve suffered from chronic pain and how much others suffer. I began thinking about a way I could portray that, and viewers would be able to feel the pain just by looking at it, and I realized that after looking at references, swords were the best way to do that. I hope those struggling with a chronic illness can look at this and deeply relate.

Digital art helps me through my chronic illness, I’m able to loose myself in the art and forget about all the pain. When I’ve applied to things before it’s nice to see strangers who do not know me appreciate the time I spent on the art piece. I try to express my pain through my art.
