• Artist Statement

  My artwork titled "Clarity" was created made primarily from charcoal and was blended/detailed with a blending stick. Through this project, I learned how to blend charcoal more effectively and with more detail. In the process, I learned how to use professional drawing tools properly and effectively to get the results I want. It took several attempts for me to get the hang of blending with charcoal. With time I was able to get better at it, little by little.

• Creative Statement

  Exploring ones creative potential is key to truly finding oneself. Especially as teens, at this age, we are still trying to figure out who we are and who we want to be. I believe expressing ourselves creatively through art, especially at this age is crucial for building positive self identity.
