Charcoal Skull

Zachary G.

  • I drew "Charcoal Skull" as an assignment for Art II my junior year and it was my fist time using charcoal. I had to adapt to how sensitive and messy charcoal truly is since I was used to pencil and paper. I learned how to use the dark grainy charcoal stick to create different values and depth. I've furthered that technique to make an Easter Bunny charcoal drawing for my grandma. I'll be honest the cute bunny had a very different mood than this eerie skull.

  • Ever since I was little, I've loved puzzles, building things with Legos, and starting and finishing a sketch or drawing. The process of creating and achieving an end result inspires me. My refuge, if you will, is drawing and playing video games. It's my happy place.
