This piece is a blend of childhood and fantasy, drawing inspiration from children's stories that have an element of strange, such as Where the Wild Things Are. I tried to make it dreamlike with how I blended the colors and variety of objects together, and I think it was successful.
Though I had to rush it to be able to submit it in time, I'm quite proud of this piece. It turned out even better than I imagined. I don't usually do larger illustrations like this, but it was really fun, just being able to paint freely. Using more muted colors was also cool, since I don't do that often either. I especially like how they look against the black background.

Art is something I really enjoy doing. It makes me happy to be able to make my ideas and characters come to life, that I can connect with others through it, and that it can make a positive impact on others. It's also something I can get income from, which could be something I pursue in the future.
