An Empty Hopefulness

I created this painting to further work on my painting technique and play with color. I also found this image very beautiful and wanted to express that in the best way I know how to. I wanted to express an emotion which I can't quite express in words, the best I can say is an empty hopefulness. When you know it's futile but you can't help to wish and hope for an impossible outcome. A false state of dreaming in which you know it's not true.

I find expressing my creativity allows me to be more free and comfortable in my own skin. I think that it allows me to put my emotions into something healthy and it really helps with my stress and anxiety in day to day life.
