A Break from Reality

My inspiration for this piece comes from the feeling of one's mind and body being detached from one another. The feeling of reality drifting away and being replaced by a sense of surrealism. The incorporation of odd-looking furniture adds to this surrealism. The headless person and the brain in the fruit bowl represent the detachment from reality.
My medium for this piece was clay. It took me about a month in total to finish.

Expressing my creativity gives me an outlet where I can explore all my wildest visions and ideas. Creating art allows me to express my individuality. The world around me is my inspiration. I soak up memories and life experiences like a sponge and incorporate them into my art.
