  • Love is a universal language to people. It brings joy to people when embraced, it can even bring sorrow when lost. This particular art piece emulates the process of yearning from the five stages of grief. When losing a loved one, life goes astray, and this piece shows how people cope with that kind of pain. The heart in this piece is packaged like meat found in a market, and, like any other meat, it has an expiration date. In a sense, what is being depicted is that a person can only find a temporary replacement for their agony. What's lost will be lost.

This digital piece was a replacement for the original idea which was inked on paper as the inked version failed to portray the right image in mind."

  • I am not one for words... Don't get me wrong, words are great, but I don't know how to handle them well. I think of myself as a visual expresser and learner, most of my ideas start off as narrative-like (or short comic) images before they're translated to speech, text, or actions.
