Get Out is a poem about family relationships and the side that no one really sees. We hide a large part of our relationships from the public, and this poem is about the hidden parts that can be really difficult to talk about.

This piece is a somber piece about self-preservation, with the added flair of eldritch horror.

I have written two poems for this submission, to be frank, I am not a poet, not by any standard, but I did like writing these two poems, and I think they are pretty good, I wrote both of these in times of great pain in my life.

I wrote this piece to describe what might go on in someone's head when they are contacting the devil. I did hours of research trying to get the references and religious allegories right, and I am very proud of how it turned out in the end.

I just think of something that could be cool or that people could derive a meaning from.

These three pieces display certain possibilities of skating on the Alameda High campus. In each piece, skating is revealed differently, which represents the multitude of ways to “open” your eyes to your surroundings.

My first step is often to conceive a draft and draw it at the end.

My piece is a galactic goddess overlooking a small village on the water.

Its about an indigenous family (native in other words) coming home after trying to find food for the winter.

My artwork depicts Mando from the Mandolorian facing Grogu, or "The Child", as a rabbit.

For this piece, I combined my love of skeletons and mythical creatures to create a skeletal study of something that doesn't technically exist; the chimera. Originally from Greek mythology, the chimera is traditionally composed of a lion, a goat, and a serpent, although modern programs such as Dungeons & Dragons add various dragon features to the mix.

It’s a can shape with different backgrounds and colors inside.

I drew the GORILLAZ band, they’re my favorite band.

I wanted to show beauty.

I originally began creating Triangulation with a square shaped idea in mind. However, with the addition of the first triangles, I knew I wanted to continue the pattern.

This piece was inspired by my love for space. Practicing adaptive art making, we were making art based on responding to the needs of the painting rather than a preconceived notion of what the painting would look like.

My piece is a lantern that is loosely inspired by Chinese culture.

I made a "Catrina", because in my country it is very well known due to the celebration of the Day of the Dead.

“roar with heaven.” – a collage representing my music taste and Asian American identity. Inspired by the song “War With Heaven” sung by Vietnamese American singer, songwriter, and producer keshi, I used newspapers, magazines, and a white gel pen to create a collage featuring one of the lyrics from the song.
