• Artist Statement

  This piece was inspired by my love for space. Practicing adaptive art making, we were making art based on responding to the needs of the painting rather than a preconceived notion of what the painting would look like. I had. no idea that I would paint zodiac signs as nebulae when I first started the piece, but my creative process involved bold decision making in order to create a finished piece. The piece is mixed media, as I used both acrylic paint on canvas and white gel pen.
