I love my 98-year-old great-grandmother, and I am a huge fan of Taylor Swift. I wanted to write a poem using Taylor Swift’s song titles for her. My great-grandmother is my role model because of her strength, determination, and optimism. She lives in a senior home, and visitors have been prohibited from accessing it until this past August due to the Covid restrictions. I remembered being so excited to see her in person finally. When I got home after the visit, I took out my writing journal and wrote this poem. My great-grandmother did not know any English, so I translated what I wrote to her during my next visit, and she was smiling the whole time listening to it. I hope this poem can bring happiness to other readers too.
