Deciding what to take a picture of is often random. It is about noticing a detail that jumps out at me. I could have seen it a thousand times already but that one time, something made it more interesting to get me to look at it again. Whether it about lighting or textures or colors or shapes, I want my pictures to capture what I saw at that moment.

Artwork reflects a snapshot in time of what is going on in my mind, whether it is capturing a photograph or painting. Creativity is getting that image to where it makes you step back and like what you’ve made. It doesn’t have to be pretty but it does have to speak to me.
