• Artist Statement

  This photograph was taken on Maui at a tucked away beach known as Slaughter House. When we arrived after a walk through a jungle, one could see the cliffs stretching out toward the horizon. The water was also choppy and bright blue, thus contrasting nicely with the blue sky. But the main thing that got me to envision the photo was different biospheres of the jungle and beach coming together making it feel secluded and almost like a secret.

• Creative Statement

  Creativity and the ability to express myself and show other some of my experiences through photography gives me sense of pride and goals to strive for in the future. It allows me to be who I am and not have to worry about the personal critique of others.
