• Artist Statement

  I am inspired to write by my own experiences. I, like many others, have dealt with similar issues to those illustrated in my piece. I struggle with insecurity about my image of myself, and the root of the problem is also because of someone that’s passed. I wrote this to show how impactful words from loved ones can be, and how long the trauma can last. I write to express myself, and maybe to make others with problems like mine feel less alone.
