In my work, I love to explore complex topics and spin them into something poetic. Although short, I feel this specific work encompasses a complex array of emotions.
This particular piece discusses the process of grief and confusion surrounding the unexpected disappearance and presumed death of two lovers. I really wanted to encompass the emotions of not only the family's mourning process, but also shine a perspective on where the missing people are, and in this case that they are decaying underground while their loved ones are still searching above for them.

Creativity to me means being able to express myself through the freedom of art and writing. It means being able to use my imagination to conjure up anything my heart desires and transfer it onto a surface.
