• Artist Statement

  I love to surround myself with nature and walk through the forest very slowly, often pausing in one place for a long time. Once pausing I have the privilege of observing many things that someone quickly passing by would miss. This photo was taken in Crested Butte, Colorado just as the sun rose on to the mountains. The wildflowers on the side of the hill were in bloom. I sat on the side of the hill soaking in the image before taking photos. I wanted the viewer to feel as though they were in a movie in the same way I did in that moment.

  Creativity is how each individual person sees the world and the ability to capture that vision. It allows individual expression both as an outlet for people as well as provides insight into each other’s minds.
