  • I wanted to write a piece that was practically a metaphor for how scary love can be through a scene of murder. The amount of trust given to another through love is large, even though your lover can turn on you at any moment; so that’s what my piece is about. Inspired by the Scream movies, where in Scream movies 1, 4, and 5, one of the main characters’ lover ends up being Ghostface (the killer). In those cases, the character deeply trusted their lover, up until they were revealed as Ghostface, in which the character ends up killing their previous partner (aka Ghostface. This ties into the theme of the scary amount of trust that goes into love. I’ve been a big fan of the Scream movies for a long time and have been wanting to write a piece inspired by the movies.

  • Creativity means to me expressing your emotions in your own way, not someone else’s. For me, creativity is an outlet to express my emotions and fears by processing them. I am also a drummer/musician, and creativity to me also is a way for people to come together (my band mates).
