What I used to be

Jonah T.

  • In my art I am to capture a small facet of myself. A caption of my own personality or voice. I think no piece of mine captures my writer’s voice better than this one. This piece is about a broken toaster who feels betrayed and abandoned after being left in a junkyard. This piece relates to me personally because I have felt the same as the protagonist before, and have felt unappreciated. I decided to write this piece through a comedic lens to process my own emotions on this issue. This piece was written from a prompt for the Marin County Fair.
