• Artist Statement

  This is part of my Shattuck Ave series, depicting businesses that have closed down in Downtown Berkeley that I remember from my childhood. Many of those businesses have been replaced, but the old Walgreens that once stood where the photo was taken remains empty. I rarely get to see inside empty shells of businesses, so I had a lot of fun getting a look inside the old Walgreens.
