Transcendental Étude No. 4 is the fourth of the twelve Transcendental Étude by Franz List. The biggest challenge from the piece is the rapid shifts in technique and how Liszt uses these techniques in very rapidly shifting manners that you need to isolate and be able to navigate where and how the techniques change, It also involves many sections with big jumps that require time to practice. There is one part in the music where it’s FF but you have to deal with this enormous technical challenge, but at the same time keeping it really light, like it’s no issue. That’s what so many pianists fail to do.

From my perspective, creativity means self expression and sharing to everyone. Each piece is like telling a story, the challenge is to draw your audience in, making them feel like they are in my story.
